Total income on a consolidated basis rose to Rs 34,090.45 crore in the said quarter from Rs 32,850.89 crore a year ago.

HDFC Bank and Apollo Hospitals have teamed up to launch the “HealthyLife Program”, which will allow bank customers to obtain up to 40 lakh in funding, among other benefits.

Customers will also benefit from 24/7 on-call physician service on the Apollo 24/7 digital platform and a choice of payment options for treatment as part of this facility.
HDFC Bank Managing Director Aditya Puri said the project was like a mini mission for him.

“I am 200% committed to this project and I will look into it even after I retire,” he said.

Aditya Puri is expected to retire as Managing Director of HDFC Bank on October 26, 2020. Sashidhar Jagdishan has been appointed to succeed her.

Apollo hospitals claim to be 30 minutes away for 40% of Indians. Likewise, HDFC Bank claims that over 85% of the country’s districts are served by a branch of the private sector lender.

The two organizations have the potential to initially serve 65 million existing customers of HDFC Bank as well as new ones that will be integrated during the partnership, the bank said in a statement.
